Blood Clotting Study
The ability of blood to coagulate prevents excessive bleeding from minor wounds. This process is essential for survival. Using actual samples of students’ blood, students observe the formation of fibrin threads under the microscope, measure clotting times and bleeding times, and observe the effects of calcium on blood clotting.
