IAS Land, Water, and Human Interactions Third Edition Student Notebook
The use of a science notebook is strongly recommended for all science classes and is referenced throughout Issues and Science. Notebooks are used alongside student books to write down ideas, questions, predictions, observations, data, and conclusions. Students will grow as scientists as they record information, reflect on their learning, and develop their thinking in ways that are meaningful for them.
The Student Notebook is comprised of Activities, Scoring Guides, and Personal Vocabulary Log. The Activities in the Notebook follow a repetitive format. The opening section contains the Activity number, title, and Guiding Questions for each Activity in the Student Book, the Procedure Section contains all Procedure Steps from the Student Book as well as any required Student Sheets, and the Analysis section contains some of the items found in the Analysis section in the student book. Each section within an Activity has an embedded optional Thinking Space. Additionally, space is provided for Extensions. All nine Scoring Guides are provided for student reference, and a Personal Vocabulary Log is found at the end of the notebook.
