ABO Blood Typing
kit #1-32
These foundation activities introduce students to the study of blood. Students first draw samples of their own blood to:
• Determine their own blood type using the agglutination method
• Observe tissue incompatibility which enables them to better understand the four basic blood groups
Besides their personal involvement in the experiment, students receive valuable experience in collecting and comparing data. Individual color coded sterile components help to simplify the procedure and the Lab-Aids® Slide Guide® eliminates the need for glass slides and can be placed in the student's notebook as a visual record of the lab activity.
• To complete this kit requires approximately one 50-minute class period
• Accommodates a class of 32 students
• Lab-Aids blood typing kits are designed for educational purposes only.
• These kits are not intended for clinical or diagnostic use.
• All Sera Have Been Tested For HBs Ag and HTLV-III (AIDS).
